What is outdoor heating?
An outdoor heater is essentially the same as an internal heater; they are a safe place for a fire; keep people warm; but are specifically for the garden. an electric patio heater can be made from different materials; different shapes and sizes; with different components depending on your requirements. The outside heaters can also be fuelled by different mediums such as gas, wood or electric.
Gas
Gas fuelled garden firepits are almost certainly the most accessible option for most people. The gas firepit works by using propane gas tanks or natural gas. As the fire has a constant application of fuel, they are much easier to light than wood. The Nova Garden Furniture Gladstone Rectangular Light Grey Gas Firepit Coffee Table with Wind Guard is an ideal option for a gas garden firepit.
Wood Burner
Although a wood burning garden firepit is not as practical as a gas firepit, it is definitely more of a centrepiece. Wood smells much nicer than gas when lit and the authentic colours that come off the garden firepit is a sight to behold. For a truly unique garden firepit, the Lifestyle Appliances Hestia Firepit would suit any garden.
Outdoor electric heater
Almost certainly the most common type of heater, electric patio heaters are a stylish and non-intrusive way to warm the seating area in your garden. Electrical garden heaters use infrared waves to create the heat, infrared is energy efficient as it warms up quickly
Grill cover
Another safety measure a garden firepit may adopt, is the mesh like cover. It still allows you to see the fire, allow the fire to get oxygen, and keep people safe from harm the Novogratz Furniture Asher Dark Grey 22" Wood Burning Fire Pit with Grilling Surface and Cover is a striking design with safety in mind!
Wind Shield
To protect the fire, and to prevent some injuries, some garden firepits come with a wind guard. This stops the fire wither going out, or adding too much concentrated oxygen to the fire and making it less controllable. The Nova Garden Furniture Cairns Rectangular Dark Grey Gas Fire Pit Coffee Table with Wind Guard has a fire guard so you can use the rest of the table with peace of mind.
Who may want or need an outdoor firepit?
Do you like to host family and friends? Or do you like being in the garden but the nights can be too cold? An outdoor patio heater is a great way to have ambient warmth for everyone to gather round. Autumn and winter may be cold, especially in the evenings, but a garden firepit can make the outdoors a comfortable experience all year round!
What types of gardens would it suit?
The most unique aspect of a garden firepit, is they can work in any garden. There are smaller options; larger options; different colours; shapes and sizes. The winter in the UK is cold and dark, a garden firepit offers a warm and cosy setting for those cold nights. Fire is both beautiful and mystical and creates an intimate setting for everyone involved.

No special treatment is needed for rattan or metal furniture. However, we recommend cleaning it using warm soapy water if you wish to do so. Wooden garden furniture will need to be treated at least once a year to ensure the wood is kept at its best.
The garden furniture doesn’t need to be sheltered during the winter but we do recommend using a cover to protect the item from leaves/wildlife.
